What We’re Looking For:
The ideal candidate loves to write and is passionate about marketing. You are organized and extremely motivated. You are extremely adaptive to creating content across multiple industries. As a Copywriter at Today’s Business, you will help the SEO Department produce quality and innovative work to be presented to clients. The Copywriter will write persuasive text that will be published or used in online advertisements. The Copywriter will report directly to the Sr. SEO Strategist
Essential Duties:
- Writing approximately 60k to 90k words per month
- Write and edit content including, but not limited to, blogs and website copy (service, location pages), optimized using SEO guidelines
- Editing up to 40k words per month
- Perform search engine optimization techniques for all writing assignments, including keyword research when needed
- Meet with the SEO Team as necessary to make sure SEO efforts and content marketing are aligned and are effective to the clients’ needs.
- Understanding the message the client is seeking to deliver and translating this into attractive copy
- Presents ideas to clients and modifies them based on feedback provided
- Researches and edits copy that will be used in various forms of advertising
- Performs other related duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, or marketing preferred
- 1-3 years of related experience
- Strong organizational skills that reflect the ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly with excellent attention to detail
- Ability to work with cross-functional teams
- Ability to determine client’s needs and objectives with specific advertising campaigns
- Amazing and resourceful problem-solving skills
- Excellent research skills
- Excellent time management skills and ability to meet deadlines
- General understanding of search engine optimization
- Ability to write proficiently and handle multiple assignments
