The SEO Strategist position wants to pursue a more in-depth understanding of SEO best practices as it relates to content marketing. The SEO Strategist has superior knowledge of copywriting, content strategy, link building, social influence, site structure, picture and video SEO, technical analysis, local SEO, bulk verification, and Google Search Console.


  • Supervise Freelance team through work assignments, making certain deadlines are being met and work submitted is of the quality expected as well as communicating this information to both the Sr. SEO Strategist and the Chief Digital Officer
  • Responsible for approving Freelance invoices ensuring accuracy and that deductions due to late submission or lack of quality are notated prior to sending to Director of Operations for final approval and payment
  • Edit Freelance team blogs and ensure that SEO best practices and client feedback is incorporated
  • Assist in the evaluation of potential Freelance team member and onsite team member work samples to assist the Sr. SEO Strategist with employment decisions
  • Responsible for high to medium priority clients
  • Will generate full and summary reports and attend quarterly conference calls along with account manager to provide detailed and concise information regarding the client’s SEO campaign results as well as provide suggestions to increase goal completion including but not limited to engagement and rankings
  • Perform lower priority client SEO audits and plans providing a concise strategy for clients to attain SEO goals that have been established by performing research, analysis of data, and development of key insights and action plans based on previous SEO results to improve overall performance, drive consumer engagement, and sales conversions
  • Write original and powerful SEO-driven content for blogs and websites as well as provide editing assistance to SEO Team as needed
  • Develop relationships with off-site blogs for work to be published and maintain a database of all websites
  • Develop and perform scheduled site audits to ensure the proper functionality of all web-related sites for functionality as well as optimization for improved search rankings including but not limited to website scraping, error identification, internal redirects and documentation, website/SEO planning (redirects, URL structure, etc.)
  • Perform off page technical SEO audits and competitor analysis


  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Journalism, or other related field
  • Knowledgeable of Search Engine Optimization both fundamentally and advanced
  • A c reative mind which can think outside the box to deliver new strategies and ideas for client accounts
  • Excellent written and research skills
  • Google Analytics Certified (by 3rd month)
  • Familiar with WordPress, HTML, CSS, and Javascript preferred
