A Letter from the CEO

As my alarm goes off at 4:30am every morning, I roll over and start sending emails to myself with the five things I want to tackle for that day. Usually they are reminders or new ideas I had before going to bed that night. Though I know it is not sustainable for everyone to go to bed at 11pm every night and to wake up at 4:30am every morning, I am a little different. While most people think entrepreneurs do what they do for the paycheck, I, my friends, am way past that. I do what I do every day for my TEAM: the team that helps me carry out my dream everyday, the team that consists of employees, clients, my wife, my family and my friends. Of the five things I want to tackle throughout the day, I want to improve client relationships and internal processes. This is key to building a successful company.

You know the saying, “If you love what you do you will never work a day in your life”? Well, that’s how I feel as we are building a company, a brand, relationships and most importantly, a LIFESTYLE. I absolutely love what I do and those whom I do it with, from my employees to my clients. But there are a couple key things people need to focus on when building a company:

  • Build a Team
  • Create Meaningful Relationships
  • Be Different

Business today is so fast-paced that most individuals neglect the idea that relationships are what built this world.  When we decided to start Today’s Business, we wanted to be different. We wanted to build a company that people genuinely wanted to be a part of. We wanted to build a team that was supported by clients, which we established an old school relationship with. At the same time, we wanted to take that old school way of doing business and add a new school approach to it. See, most people neglect the idea that relationships are what carry businesses. Building relationships with your team and your clientele is something that can easily be overlooked, but never should be.

As we move towards closing out this year, our fourth year in business, I look back sometimes and think on how all of the sacrifices have been worth it. The nature of a company requires it to be ever-changing, meaning a company is never a finished product. It’s about doing little things consistently to help growth, to be better and, most of all, to be successful. Companies aren’t built based on the bottom line; they are built by the people that lead them, and grow the other people around them. We didn’t get in this game to just build a company, we came to build relationships, to build people and most of all, to build a TEAM!  I can’t wait for what 2016 will bring us, as we sure as anything will be ready! Happy New Year!
